Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?
Yes. We use gentle techniques that are specifically designed for pregnant patients to help support your changing body and ease common discomforts. Many expecting moms find chiropractic care to be a helpful part of their prenatal routine. Some moms come weekly or every other week, especially in the second and third trimesters. We’ll create a plan that works best for you and your growing baby.
What are the benefits of prenatal chiropractic care? Chiropractic care during pregnancy may help with:
● Low back pain and sciatica
● Pelvic and hip discomfort
● Postural changes and joint stress
● Round ligament pain
● Better mobility and alignment
● Encouraging optimal space and positioning for baby
What is the Webster Technique?
The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic approach used during pregnancy to gently improve alignment in the pelvis and reduce tension in the surrounding muscles and ligaments. It’s especially helpful in the third trimester as your body prepares for birth. Dr. Vinay is certified in the Webster Technique and trained to provide this type of care.
Can chiropractic care help with a breech baby?
While chiropractic care doesn’t turn the baby directly, the Webster Technique can help improve pelvic balance, which may allow a breech baby the space needed to move into a head-down position on their own.
When should I start chiropractic care during pregnancy?
You can begin at any point, whether you’re newly pregnant or further along. Some patients come in early to stay ahead of discomfort, while others start when pain or tightness shows up.
Regular care in the third trimester can also help prepare your body for delivery, shorter labor times, and optimal pelvic alignment.
Do you have pregnancy pillows or special tables?
We do! We use pregnancy-safe cushions and tables with adjustable features to make sure you’re comfortable and supported during each visit. We have seen moms all the way up to 41 weeks with our pregnancy pillows!
